About
My working life started in Paris, where I joined Time Out as listings editor. On my return to London I continued to work for Time Out before moving to the Financial Times, where I was a journalist for 16 excellent years. Specialising in arts, books and food & drink, I held commissioning editor posts across the FT Weekend Magazine and Life & Arts supplements.
When I moved to Glasgow, I started a communal writing space and later, during the pandemic, this became Outwith Books, an independent bookshop. Over almost three years I got to know the bookselling trade, created an events programme and wrote a book of my own, The Fifteen-Minute City, published by Luath Press in 2021. The shop is now closed, and I am working as a writer full time. My second book will be published in 2024.
I am represented by Robbie Guillory at Underline Literary Agency.
